Lift Energy Storage Technology (LEST) is a gravitational-based storage solution. It stores energy by lifting wet sand containers or other high-density materials using autonomous trailer devices. The system requires empty spaces on the top and bottom of the building.
LEST is a decentralized solution for energy storage with daily to weekly cycles. It has an installed capacity energy storage cost of 21–128 USD/kWh.
The design of a complete energy storage system not only includes research on the technical and theoretical feasibility of the system, but should also requires effective evaluation in terms of engineering economy, environmental impact, and safety to determine the feasibility of the aquifer compressed air energy storage technology.
Finally, AI has helped energy storage technology to assist the power grid more practically in practical engineering applications and the maturity of energy storage technology, improved standard specification systems. The authors declare no conflict of interest.
