Grounded in the spatiotemporal traits of chemical energy storage and thermal energy storage, a virtual battery model for base stations is established and the scheduling potential of battery clusters in multiple scenarios is explored.
The battery pack in the energy storage section has the capacity to absorb energy as a load, thereby increasing the power consumption of the grid during the trough period. It can also release energy to reduce the overall power consumption of the base station, thus balancing the high load of the grid during the peak period.
The primary responsibility of the base station energy storage is to protect the power supply of the base station, so the dynamic backup capacity of the base station in real time will be considered in the future. This approach allows for the minimization of energy consumption at the base station without any impairment to the communication quality of the users. The temperature control system and the energy storage system adopt a virtual battery management system to centrally control the idle energy storage.
