At present, there are many researches related to the optimal planning and operation of energy storage systems under sharing economies such as CES and SES. In, two kinds of decision-making models for the CES participants were established based on perfect forecasting information and imperfect information, respectively.
In, an optimal sizing planning strategy for energy storage was formulated for maintaining the frequency stability under power disturbance, and a scenario tree model was used to describe the uncertainties of wind power forecast in the optimization framework.
Energy storage equipment can realize the input and output regulation of electric energy at different time scales, which can effectively improve the operating characteristics of the system and meet the power and energy balance requirements of a smart grid. The application of different energy storage technologies in power systems is also different.
Also, the existing widely-used method in energy storage planning, that embeds the system frequency response model into the optimization model to deal with inertia shortage demand, is unfeasible to be directly used in the CES business model due to the data confidentiality problem.
The energy storage system planning problem consists of two aspects: the capacity configuration and the location selection. However, in the planning problem, the optimization objectives for different application purposes are different.
