The integration of wind, solar, hydro, thermal, and energy storage can improve the clean utilization level of energy and the operation efficiency of power systems, give full play to the advantages of regions rich in new energy resources and realize the large-scale consumption of clean power.
Zheng et al. proposed a combined power generation system based on medium and low-temperature solar thermochemical fuel and SOFC. The system uses concentrated solar energy to convert methanol into hydrogen-rich fuel, and then feeds the hydrogen-rich fuel into SOFC to generate electricity.
This system includes solar, storage, and diesel power, with diesel generators as the main power source. Compared to TYPE A, the addition of an energy storage system allows for an increase in the capacity of the photovoltaic system.
